With Election Day upon us, I thought I would arrange a patriotic song. I decided to do a reharmonization of “America the Beautiful”.
Instead of sticking to just diatonic chords, I tried to use some substitutions to add color to the harmony. It turns out to be a good workout for the left hand as well. (or right hand if you play lefty.)
My new album, “City Lights Hide the Stars”, is all set for release. The album contains 16 new pieces for solo classical guitar. It was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Tom Eaton at his Sounds & Substance studio in East Kingston, New Hampshire.
Release dates…
Beginning on Friday November 15th, I will release one single every two weeks leading up to the full album release on Friday January 17th. (That's five singles)
Are you old school and want to hear the album before the streaming release? CDs will be available for pre-order on my website beginning December 1st. These will be shipped out before the holidays, so if you need a gift for a CD loving friend, I've got you covered.
I am extremely proud of this album. It is without a doubt my favorite collection of music I've written and recorded so far. I cannot wait to put it out into the world.
